I was expecting a hot dry summer this year. So far I was half right. It was an early spring this year with the ice going out early, but May started out cold with snow the first week we were in camp. Then it got hotter and the rain started. We got over a foot of rain in one day. As a result the lake level has jumped from a little below average to nearing peak levels. All that really means for you is that it would be a good idea to bring some rain gear and good waterproof boots.
We did put gravel down on all the paths to help keep it less muddy. We had tried using a wood chipper last year to put a nice layer of wood chips down. It looked good when were done but then we had a heavy rain and they all ended up in the lake. We also just destroyed the staff cabin at the top of the ramp leading up from the dock. It really opened things up and you can see all the way up through camp now.
