Fishing had been very good up to the huge heat wave. Heat index' of 108 and little wind drove the water temps up and shut down the fishing pretty hard. Woke up this morning to a cold front with the temps around 40 so the roller coaster continues. Musky action has still been great and downrigging, dipsy divers or snap weights has been the way to get the trout. No body has been to the portage lakes for walleye because it has been too hot for the effort.
Need some stable weather and good fisherman in camp to get things turned around.
