It's been a long hot week. Temperatures in the mid 80's and sunny everyday. Water temp. shot up to 70 in some bays so the trout are on the move to deeper water. Still catching some trolling 15' or less but are getting fewer. Jigging is starting to get the big catches in 40' of water with red/white sonars and diver vibe minnows. Ed clark caught a trout jigging in front of Patty's Bay that was close to 20 pounds. The Holloway group that comes every year didn't do as well as the last 2 years but still caught a good amount of trout. The early ice out really changes things. Mike Gereks group is in camp and caught a 26" walleye in black bay last night and Alex got a 25" also. Gabby Harnett's group got off the plane yesterday and went and limited out on trout in 2 hours. They did a double portage today and caught 12 walleye up in Wagon Wheel lake. Supposed to have rain tomorrow and then back to the heat. I'll be gone for 10 days for my 20th anniversary. Susie and I will be in Tahiti and be back on the 5th. Keep checking for more reports.
